The League of American Orchestras Appoints Douglas M. Hagerman to Board of Directors

League of American Orchestras Chair Patricia A. Richardshas announced the appointment of Douglas M. Hagerman,who also serves as Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra board chair, to the League's Board of Directors. He will serve a three-year term and was elected by the League membership during the organization's annual meeting in June.

"A self-described 'orchestra geek,' Douglas Hagerman travels far and wide to hear the music he loves," said Richards. "The League is grateful to benefit from his expertise both in the financial field and as chairman of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors."

Douglas M. Hagermanhas served on the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors since 2007, and was elected chairman in 2011. Senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary of Rockwell Automation, Inc. since 2004, he was previously a partner at Foley & Lardner LLP. A graduate of Harvard Law School and of Drake University, he studied economics and accounting and is a certified public accountant. Hagerman is a director of the National Association of Manufacturers.

Also newly appointed to the League board of directors are Alan McIntyre, Oliver Wyman's Managing Partner for North America and vice chairman of the Stamford Symphony Orchestra,andConnie Steensma, chair emerita and honorary musician of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
