A City Becomes A Symphony - The Symphony in D The Detroit Symphony Orchestra Presents A World PremiereSymphony in D Captures One of the Most Unique and Important Cities in the World, tonight at 8pm.

What do you hear when you think of Detroit? For the past year, composer Tod Machover has been collecting the sounds of the city submitted by thousands of Detroiters. Tonight, hear and see the amazing result of his work as Leonard Slatkin leads the DSO in the world premiere of Machover's Symphony in D. It performs Nov. 21 at 8pm.

This project was made possible by a grant from the John S. And James L. Knight Foundation, with additional support from Opportunity Detroit.

Detroit Public TV is proud to continue expanding our partnership with DSO and we invite you to mark your calendar for December 31, as we present the second annual New Year's Eve with the DSO.
