Single Tickets on Sale For Cleveland Orchestra's 2013-14 Season

Individual tickets for The Cleveland Orchestra's 2013-14 season are now on sale, online at clevelandorchestra.com, by telephone, and in person at the Severance Hall Ticket Office.

As announced on March 17, the opening concert of the season on September 19 features The Cleveland Orchestra and Hélène Grimaud in Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 ("Emperor") under the direction of guest conductor Fabio Luisi. The program concludes with Mahler's Fourth Symphony, featuring soprano Maureen McKay.

Additional highlights in the fall include a Gala Concert on Saturday, September 28, with violinist Itzhak Perlman and conductor Vassily Sinaisky. Co-chaired by community philanthropist Norma Lerner and KeyBank Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Beth Mooney, the Gala Concert supports educational services that the Orchestra provides for the Northeast Ohio community. The performance will be followed by a dinner in the lobbies of Severance Hall.

In the recently announced Festival Fate and Freedom: Music of Beethoven and Shostakovich, The Cleveland Orchestra explores the music, times, and politics of two of western music's most profound and controversial composers, in partnership with the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque, from October 22-26. The Festival includes orchestra concerts, film screenings, pre-film and pre-concert talks, and a chamber music performance by members of The Cleveland Orchestra. Music Director Franz Welser-Möst conceived the Festival to look more closely at landmark works by Beethoven and Shostakovich and provide context around their creation, while examining the ever-relevant themes of personal and societal freedom they express. Ticket packages for the three Fate and Freedom: Music of Beethoven and Shostakovich Cleveland Orchestra concerts on October 24-26 start at $93.

Tickets to individual performances are on sale now, and range in price from $29 to $120. Individual tickets are on sale by telephone, in person at the Severance Hall Ticket Office, and online at clevelandorchestra.com.

Subscriptions for the 2013-14 Season are on sale now and start at just $90 for a four-concert package. Subscribers receive seating priority over individual-ticket buyers, ticket exchange privileges, and other benefits. The Severance Hall Ticket Office is located on street level in the Smith Lobby. The entrance and 15-minute Ticket Service parking are along the west side of the building, on East Boulevard. Severance Hall Ticket Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and, from September through May, Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (closed Sundays and holidays except for those days with performances, when the Ticket Office will be open three hours prior to each performance).

UNDER 18s FREE: "Under 18s Free" Tickets are available for all Family Concert Series, PNC Musical Rainbows programs, Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra and Youth Chorus Concerts, and Friday morning, evening (including KeyBank Fridays@7), and Sunday afternoon Cleveland Orchestra Concerts.

The "Under 18s Free" program offers free tickets (one per regular-priced adult paid admission) to young people ages 7-17. The free tickets for Severance Hall concerts eligible for this program must be purchased through the Severance Hall Ticket Office. Holiday concerts and Celebrity Series concerts are excluded from the "Under 18s Free" offer.

The Cleveland Orchestra's Student Advantage Program makes $10 tickets available to full-time high school, college, and graduate/post-graduate students during the Severance Hall season. The Cleveland Orchestra Frequent Fan Card is priced at $50, and is available at the Severance Hall Ticket Office. The Frequent Fan Cards admit one student to unlimited performances, based on availability, of Cleveland Orchestra subscription concerts in the 2013-14 season. The Cleveland Orchestra Frequent Fan Card, normally priced at $50, will be offered to students at a discount from Monday, August 26, through Friday, September 6, for $25. Free bus service is available to Friday Morning Concert patrons, departing from Akron, Beachwood, Brecksville, and Westlake. Subscribers can sign up for bus service when renewing their season package. Now offered for the fourth consecutive season, bus service is sponsored by the Women's Committee of The Cleveland Orchestra.
