Reed Yeboah Fine Violins proudly presents the 4(th) Annual Contemporary Violin Makers Exhibition to be held from Oct. 18(th) through Oct. 20(th), 2014. The 3-day event will showcase the world's most renowned living makers of violins, violas, and cellos for musicians, collectors, and amateurs to try and purchase. The much-anticipated annual event will take place at the Kosciuszko Foundation located at 15 East 65(th) Street New York, NY 10065 between 10am and 6pm daily.

The Exhibition has brought clients from all over the world, as makers strive to reserve their best examples to be exhibited for the New York instrument market. Famous virtuoso violinist Elmar Oliveira, who has attended the exhibition since 2011, expressed his enthusiasm for the event. He says "I think it is great to see the work of so many makers in one place."

Julie Reed-Yeboah, renowned luthier and restorer, and Yi-Ping Yang, managing director of Reed Yeboah Fine Violins at 1776 Broadway, founded the exhibition with the idea of broadening the choice of high quality professional level instruments in the New York market. In an interview from last year's exhibit Reed-Yeboah says, "We hope that people come to see these instruments, meet the makers, and get interested in playing instruments which are more affordable than those made by the legendary 18(th) Century makers." Reed-Yeboah also asserts that, "Good instruments do get better with age, and modern instruments, when made by great craftsmen are no exceptions. If they sound good now, they will sound even better as time passes." Entrance to the exhibition is free, and no appointment is needed. See VIMEO link here for a video sample of last year's exhibit.
