Red Rose City Chorus will perform "Adventure on the High Cs", the story of an ordinary vacation cruise that turns into the biggest adventure the singers have ever experienced! The show will also feature special guest chorus, Parkside Harmony. Act I features four chorus quartets, while Act II takes on a concert vibe with both choruses performing big numbers separately and together. The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.
Red Rose City Chorus is an extraordinary group of women who gather together in celebration of the art form known as barbershop music. A chapter of Sweet Adelines International, the chorus currently has approximately 35 singers of all ages, all walks of life, and all parts of the Lancaster, Berks, and York areas. They can be heard throughout the year, singing for civic and charitable organizations, private groups, churches, community events, and fundraisers.
Parkside Harmony Chorus is a contemporary men's a cappella chorus based in Hershey, PA, and one of the newest members of the Barbershop Harmony Society. The chorus brings together passionate singers from all over central Pennsylvania who strive for musical excellence.
Running time for the September 27 show will be approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, including a 20-minute intermission.
Tickets are $20 adults, reserved seating and $10 for students, and can be purchased online by visiting ArtsMU.com or by calling 717-871-7600. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Ticket Office located in the Student Memorial Center on Millersville's campus, or the Ware Center, located at 42 N. Prince Street, in Lancaster. Doors open one hour before each show for ticket sales, subject to availability.
