Violinist Kevin Yu is the Founder behind Coregami and the performal wear movement. While attending business school at UT Austin, he served as the concertmaster in the school symphony and worked at a technology startup by night. He spent many years at Cisco Systems, KPMG, Atmos Energy and other startups while he was playing out his dream on the professional symphony stage. He is the only person he knows that has been accepted into some of the top music schools in the country and has turned it down, three times.
Bothered by the incredible discomfort of his concert tuxedo and the lack of options, he became obsessed with the notion of "disrupting formal wear". After countless prototypes, he failed his way to a solution. But that would only be the beginning.

Coregami is an online retailer of high-performance formal wear based in Dallas, Texas. After two years of research and product testing on the symphony stage, they launched out of a small apartment in Uptown. Today, Coregami is the only brand in the world dedicated to bringing functionality to formal wear and ushering formal wear to the present.
It started with a simple idea to make a better tuxedo shirt. A shirt that is formal yet comfortable. A shirt that wicks perspiration off our skin rather than absorb it. A shirt that opens our range of motion and enhances our performance under the world's brightest spotlights.
Founded in 2015 by violinist Kevin Yu, Coregami is the originator of performal wear - apparel designed to keep concert musicians cool, dry and active through out the course of a live performance. The design and engineering behind Coregami's apparel is complex. But the the mission is simple.
At Coregami, it is our mission to bring innovation and inspiration to every musician.
