Photo Flash: The Runaway Bunny

In a generous gesture to the shows producer (Scott Mauro) and the conductor/composer (Glen Roven), Glenn Close served as narrator for the reading of the popular children's book "The Runaway Bunny," making it the highlight of a concert reading at Carnegie Hall on April 29.

Penned by Four-time Emmy Award winner Glen Roven, "The Runaway Bunny" is a concerto for violin, reader and orchestra. The concerto is described as "a classical music adaptation of the book told in the style of 'Peter and the Wolf.' The CD, release to tremendous praise last week, includes narration by Brooke Shields, telling the story as the solo violin and the orchestra take the audience through the journeys of the wayward bunny. The piece is 20 minutes in duration and the music is contemporary in feel, yet totally accessible."

The 1942 book by Margaret Wise Brown and Clement Hurd - "The Runaway Bunny" is a concerto for violin, reader and orchestra. The concerto is described as "a classical music adaptation of the book told in the style of 'Peter and the Wolf.'
