Palisades Virtuosi to Perform This Weekend at Ridgewood Conservatory

The critically-acclaimed Palisades Virtuosi will be in concert, performing music for flute, clarinet and piano on Sunday, September 25th at 3:00pm at The Ridgewood Conservatory, 409 Sette Drive in Paramus, New Jersey.

The Palisades Virtuosi is now "in-residence" at The Ridgewood Conservatory. To celebrate this partnership they will present a concert in the recital hall at the conservatory. The program will include music by French composers including Petite Suite by Claude Debussy, Tarantella by Camille Saint Saens, Pavane pour une infante défunte by Maurice Ravel, and the Carmen Fantasy by Michael Webster. The program will also feature the school's director, Lou Caimano on saxophone as guest artist, performing Les Tréteaux by Max Dubois for flute, saxophone and piano.

The members of PV are all currently teaching at the conservatory and are planning to add further dimensions to their roles there as instructors. Among the plans are beginning a program for coaching chamber music and periodic offerings of master classes for the students at the school.

Tickets for the September 25 concert are $20 general admission/$25 at the door/$20 Student/Senior Citizens and 12 & under $10.00. Registered students of The Ridgewood Conservatory are admitted free.

The Palisades Virtuosi, consisting of flutist Margaret Swinchoski, clarinetist Donald Mokrynski and pianist Ron Levy, is a 501 (c)(3) organization established to promote and enrich the repertoire for flute, clarinet and piano and present concerts that include existing and newly-commissioned repertoire for this configuration (each of their concerts includes a work commissioned by the ensemble), supplemented by solos, duos and larger works featuring guest artists.
