PREFORMANCES WITH ALLISON CHARNEY Continues 10th Anniversary Season Dec. 3 at Merkin Concert Hall

PREFORMANCES WITH Allison Charney continues its 10th Anniversary Season Monday December 3 at 7:30 PM. Joining soprano and founder Allison Charney PREFORMANCES' roster of featured guests will include, Augusta Caso, Blair McMillen, Carol Wincenc, Kajsa William-Olsson and Daniel Panner. Throughout its previous nine seasons, PREFORMANCES WITH Allison Charney has presented over 100 of the preeminent musicians of our time. Notable appearances include those by New York PhilharmonicMusic Director Alan Gilbert, Metropolitan Opera stars William Burden and Maria Zifchak,, violinist Kelly Hall-Tompkins of Broadway's "Fiddler on the Roof" fame, and concert pianists Joel Fan and Navah Perlman, just to name a few. In addition, the series has presented new classical works by composers Michael Ching, Moshe Knoll, Kim D. Sherman and Dina Pruzhansky.

Hailed by the New York Times for her "compelling..courageous, expressive and poignant singing" mezzo-soprano Augusta Caso makes her PREFORMANCES debut singing Donizetti's showcase aria, "O Mio Fernando" from LA FAVORITA exactly 178 years after its premiere.

And in celebration of its 100th anniversary, Daniel Panner will perform Hindemith's Viola Sonata, Op. 31, No. 4.

"Queen of the Flute" Carol Wincenc returns to the PREFORMANCES stage to perform Chaminade's notoriously fiendish concertino for flute and piano with Dr. Len Horovitz. Ms. Wincenc will also perform Katherine Hoover's haunting "Kokopelli" for solo flute, in memory of the composer who died earlier this year.

Pianist Blair McMillen brings his "riveting" and "prodigiously accomplished and exciting" (NYTimes) playing back to the PREFORMANCES stage as he prepares several of Messiaen's "Vingt Regards" for the upcoming holiday season.

Cellist Kajsa William-Olsson, of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, will perform Victoria Malawey's hot-off-the-presses piece, "The Patient Beating of the Animal Heart" with series founder, soprano Allison Charney in anticipation of its premiere in 2019 by the ARK trio during their residency at Macalester College.

Ms. Caso and Ms. Charney will also perform the beloved "flower" duet from Puccini's Madama Butterfly, along with collaborative pianist Craig Ketter who will also accompany Ms. Charney's signature closing song, Strauss' "Zueignung"
