PR: The One and Only Tommy Dorsey Orchestra

Featuring the timeless music of the Big Band era, The One and Only Tommy Dorsey Orchestra performs at Metropolis Performing Arts Centre December 1, 2015.

In Big Band history, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra is recognized as one of the best all-around dance bands. It could swing with the best of them, and no other band could come close to Tommy's when it came to playing ballads. Tommy Dorsey, "The Sentimental Gentleman of Swing," was a master at creating warm, sentimental and always musical moods - at superb dancing and listening tempos. Tommy's legacy of great music has transcended time with the group still entertaining throughout the world with swinging Big Band entertainment.

The One and Only Tommy Dorsey Orchestra will be at Metropolis on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 3 P.M. and 7 P.M. Tickets are $40, Stage Tables are $45. All tickets can be purchased at MetropolisArts.com or by calling the Box Office at 847.577.2121.

The One and Only Tommy Dorsey Orchestra is part of the Holiday Series at Metropolis - bringing heartwarming, comedic and spirited seasonal performances to the northwest suburbs.
