The Upper West Side is a neighborhood long regarded as being New York City's cultural and intellectual hub and home to artists and caring and concerned local entrepreneurs and businesses. On Monday, April 1, 2019 the annual Notes from 108th Street Benefit for the Bloomingdale School of Music Scholarship Program, is a good example of how the Upper West Side gathers together and celebrates music, food and community.
This year we celebrate Burton Kassell a Bloomingdale School of Music (BSM) Board Member and Upper West side resident and valued community member. The evening will honor Burton's long commitment to BSM and features performances by our gifted faculty, students, and guest stars. Hosted by neighborhood favorite restaurateur Henry Rinehart, the event will once again take place at beautiful Broadway Presbyterian Church located on Broadway and 114th Street and features a champagne reception with light appetizers, dessert and a silent auction. Helping us celebrate Bloomingdale School of Music's extraordinary 54 years service to the Upper West Side community are our neighborhood vendors Cafe du Soleil & Voila Caterers and Insomnia Cookies.
Tickets: $100 each and all proceeds go to support Bloomingdale School of Music's Scholarship program which ensures talented youngsters experience comprehensive music instruction and continues the school's founding ethos of accessibility. TO
