New York Philharmonic Ensembles to Perform at Merkin Concert Hall, 12/13

The New York Philharmonic Ensembles, composed of Musicians from the Orchestra, will perform Trio Sonatas by Rossi; Glière's Suite for Violin and Double Bass; Beethoven's String Trio, Op. 9, No. 2; and Arensky's Piano Trio No. 1 on Sunday, December 13, 2009, at 3:00 p.m. at Merkin Concert Hall.
 
The musicians will be Lisa Kim, Kuan-Cheng Lu, Anna Rabinova, and Vladimir Tsypin, violin; Irene Breslaw, viola; Eileen Moon and Ru-Pei Yeh, cello; David J. Grossman, bass; Lionel Party, harpsichord; and June Choi Oh, piano.
 
Since 1984 the Philharmonic Ensembles series has presented diverse programming of both classical masterpieces and modern compositions. Ensembles concerts are also offered on the Orchestra's international and domestic tours, on separate chamber music tours, and at locations throughout New York City. 
 
The New York Philharmonic Ensembles concerts are funded, in part, by the Zubin Mehta Fund for the Orchestra, an endowment fund created to honor the accomplishments of the Philharmonic's former Music Director, Zubin Mehta.
