New World Symphony, America's Orchestral Academy, presents Poetry in Motion on Thursday, October 17th at 7:30 p.m. at New World Symphony. 500 17th St Miami Beach, Fla. New tickets released, starting at just $25.

Featuring: Michael Tilson Thomas, conductor; Netia Jones, video artist and live video performer; Peabody Southwell, mezzo-soprano; Matthew Newlin, tenor; and Rod Nelman, bass-baritone.

Join Michael Tilson Thomas and the New World Symphony during this special event two nights before they travel to Chicago to perform at the Harris Theater! This performance will feature the world premiere of a stunning visual installation created by British director, designer and video artist Netia Jones, in creative collaboration with MTT, to accompany Castiglioni's Inverno In-ver.

The installation, co-commissioned by NWS and Chicago's Harris Theater, will be performed in real-time by Jones during the event. Three solo vocalists close the evening with a spirited rendition of the complete score to Stravinsky's ballet Pulcinella
