Montreal Symphony to Present A COOL CLASSIC JOURNEY, Aug 16-17

A two-day musical event in the heart of Montréal's cultural district. A Cool Classical Journey offers 30 concerts of 45 minutes featuring a wide variety of works from the classical repertoire, with a special dedication to Mozart. Symphonic, chamber and family concerts, as well as solo instrumental recitals, fill out the rich schedule.

The concerts will be performed two days only: Friday, August 16 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. AND Saturday, August 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:15 p.m.

Kent Nagano and the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal anchor the two days of classical music programming. They are joined by world renowned artists including pianists Menahem Pressler, Alexandre Tharaud, Angela Hewitt and André Laplante, as well as the young American prodigy Kit Armstrong. A Cool Classical Journey also showcases violinists Augustin Dumay, Hyeyoon Park and Alexandre Da Costa, clarinetist Jörg Widmann and ensembles including the Mozart Chamber Ensemble, the audience favoriteCanadian Brass, and many more.
