West Palm Beach, FL. In collaboration with BAK Middle School of the Arts, the Middle School of the Arts Foundation is pleased to announce the 2015 Piano Fest. Under the direction of Dr. Estibaliz Gastesi, the festival will present master classes and concerts by exceptional artists and students.
On Thursday, January 15, Ukrainian pianist Stanislav Khristenko will instruct a master class to selected students. Mr. Khristenko has won many international competitions, including Cleveland and Maria Cannals. He has performed worldwide in some of the most prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Severance Hall, and Berlin Philharmonie.
On Friday, January 16, pianist Lindsay Garritson will instruct a master class followed by an all Chopin recital starting at 7:00 p.m. in the school's auditorium. Ms. Garritson has won top prizes at some of the world's most prestigious competitions, including Mozarteum International Chopin (Austria) and Montreal. She is also an acclaimed collaborative pianist.
The festival has been generously funded by the Middle School of the Arts Foundation, to further its mission of providing develop permanent resources to ensure world-class standards of excellence in arts and academics at Bak Middle School of the Arts, which serves all of Palm Beach County. The Foundation's purpose is to identify and secure resources to meet needs beyond those that can be funded by the Palm Beach County School District.Videos
