League of American Orchestras President and CEOJesse Rosen has announced the appointment of Stacy Wilson Margolis as vice president for development, effective September 3.
"Stacy Margolis is a gifted fundraising leader with a strategic vision and a remarkable record of accomplishments," commented Rosen. "She will help the League implement effective strategies for growing our development efforts, while overseeing new initiatives to help support the critical programs and services we offer our member orchestras."
Margolis has served as director of development at Orchestra of St. Luke's since 2008. During her tenure, she oversaw the $50 million capital campaign for the creation of The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, as well as all annual fundraising for the orchestra. Prior to joining Orchestra of St. Luke's, Margolis was the executive director of the London Symphony Orchestra's American Foundation for six years, with responsibility for all U.S.-based fundraising. Margolis also held development posts at The New York Public Library and Theater Development Fund.
After receiving Bachelor's degrees in music and marketing management from Syracuse University, Margolis attended the Master's program in Arts Administration at Columbia University.
