Kate Baldwin, last seen on Broadway in the recently closed critically acclaimed revival of Finian's Rainbow, is set to guest host Victor Herbert's 150th Birthday Celebration at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center on February 1.
Victor Herbert, masterful composer of popular and classical music, a talented conductor, virtuoso cellist, and founder of ASCAP, is "America's Master of Melody and Romance."
Featured artists at this celebration include Matt Haimovitz, Julia Kogan, Korliss Uecker, Abigail Nims, John Pickle, Joshua Jeremiah, and Eric Downs.
Join Maestro Dino Anagnost in an evening of Victor Herbert's stirring marches, brilliant orchestral works, soaring waltzes, rhapsodic love songs, and selections from his popular Broadway operettas. The concert includes his glorious Cello Concert No. 2, and timeless classics such as Sweethearts, In Old New York, and Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life.
