Jeffrey Siegel Explores TWO GREAT ROMANTICS at Harris Center Tonight

In his final concert of the 15/16 season, acclaimed pianist Jeffrey Siegel explores the romantic music of Frédéric Chopin and Robert Schumann in a Keyboard Conversation program entitled Two Great Romantics tonight, May 4, 2016 at 7:30 pm.

Utilizing a brilliantly polished concert-with-commentary format, Siegel's unique Keyboard Conversation concerts are a joy for both the classical music aficionado and those new to classical music. Captivating remarks precede the virtuoso performances of piano masterpieces, and each concert concludes with a lively Q&A.

Tickets for Keyboard Conversations with Jeffrey Siegel: Two Great Romantics - Chopin and Schumann are $29-$39. Student tickets are $9 with ID. Mr. Siegel's May 4th concert features music of love, passion, and gorgeous melodies by two of the most beloved composers for the piano. Featured will be Robert Schumann's dramatic Novelettes and intimate Romances, and Frédéric Chopin's dynamic Scherzo and heroic Polonaise.

As Harris Center audiences have learned, Mr. Siegel's enthusiasm is contagious, his credentials world-class and his virtuosity astounding. Hailed by the New York Times as "an artist who means every note he plays," this American pianist has been a soloist with the world's great orchestras. Abroad, these include the Berlin Philharmonic; London Symphony, Philharmonic and Philharmonia; Moscow State Symphony; Munich's Bayerischer Rundfunk; the Philharmonic Orchestras of Amsterdam, Oslo and Stockholm; the Orchestra of La Scala and NHK Symphony of Japan. In the United States, engagements have included the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra and Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Mr. Siegel's ongoing series of Keyboard Conversations flourish in over twenty American cities, among them New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Phoenix, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Dallas, Denver and Washington, D.C.
