American pianist Jeffrey Biegel will be in concert on Saturday, May 30 presenting Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Gershwin as the sixth program of 5 @ 5 at DiMenna, a solo piano performance series curated by Mirian Conti, at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, 450 West 37th Street in Manhattan.
Biegel will perform Bach's French Suite No. 5 in G Major, BWV816. Beethoven's Sonata in f minor, No. 23 Opus 57, Chopin's Ballade No.1, Op 23 g minor and Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue for solo piano (edition by Dr. Alicia Zizzo).

Jeffrey Biegel enjoys a career as a pianist, composer and arranger. His most recent venture is the creation of the Dicterow-DeMaine-Biegel piano trio, joined by violinist Glenn Dicterow and cellist Robert DeMaine. Known for his performances of the standard repertoire, Mr. Biegel also performs new music, and recently performed two premieres during the 2013-14 season: Lucas Richman's 'Piano Concerto' with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, and, Jake Runestad's 'Dreams of the Fallen' with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and Symphony Chorus of New Orleans at the National WWII Museum on Veterans Day 2013. Also a specialist in the music of George Gershwin, Mr. Biegel is a new member of the touring ensemble for the staged extravaganza, "Here To Stay: The Gershwin Experience" with Sylvia McNair, Ryan VanDenBoom and David Snyder, taking the show to symphony orchestras worldwide.
In January 2014, GPR Records released Mr. Biegel's all-Chopin recording, "Life According to Chopin", distributed worldwide via Naxos.
