Jazz at Lincoln Center with Wynton Marsalis Returns To MAC 10/3

On Saturday, October 3, at 7:30 p.m. nine-time GRAMMY® award winner, Wynton Marsalis, and Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra return to Mesa Arts Center for a swinging night of jazz. Comprised of 15 of the finest jazz soloists and ensemble players today, the orchestra is led by this highly celebrated trumpeter. Hailed as the classical trumpet player of his generation, Wynton Marsalis is also a brilliant composer and big band leader, following the tradition of Duke Ellington. Marsalis was the youngest musician to be admitted to the prestigious Tanglewood's Berkshire Music Center and later studied at Julliard in New York City. Performing over 120 concerts per year for the past decade, Marsalis is no stranger to pleasing the jazz lovers of America.
