Hailed as the classical trumpet player of his generation, Wynton Marsalis is also a brilliant composer and big band leader, following the tradition of Duke Ellington. Marsalis was the youngest musician to be admitted to the prestigious Tanglewood's Berkshire Music Center and later studied at Julliard in New York City.
