The concert will reunite long time colleagues Jason Tramm and Gordon Turk in performance of Alexandre Guilmant's "Symphony No. 1", a work they recorded in 2008 for American Public Media's classical music show "Pipe Dreams", broadcasted locally on New York's classical music station WQXR.
In addition to the lush Guilmant symphony the program will include Camille Saint-Saëns' beloved "Symphony No. 3", widely acknowledged as the most famous symphonic composition for orchestra and organ and Gabriel Faure's elegant and serene orchestral piece, "Pavanne."
Gordon Turk, who serves as Artist in Residence at Ocean Grove, graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music, where he studied piano and organ. He also studied with New York composer and organist McNeil Robinson at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.
