Ian Maksin and Yelena Neva Team for MUSIC EVE at University Club of San Francisco

IAN MAKSIN and YELENA NEVA invite you to a very special one night only concert of two extraordinary musicians and singers, who will be visiting San Francisco on January 28th, 2017.

This will be their very first time concert together in an exclusive, by invitation only, University club of San Francisco at 800 Powel street, San Francisco, CA 94108.

The club was established in 1890 and is located in a very unique historical building, constructed in 19th century, in the very heart of Nob Hill of San Francisco downtown. Visit www.uclubsf.org for more information.

The concert will start at 7:30pm, but you are welcome to come at 6:30pm to enjoy beautiful lounge with great city view and full bar.

Here is the evening's program:
6:30pm - guests arrive - food serving starts ( Hor's -d'oeuvre ) and bar will be open
7:30pm- performance
9:00pm - Performers and Guests mingle
9:30pm - event conclusion.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Ian Maksin: Credibly one of today's most versatile and innovative artists, composer composer and Cellist Ian Maksin has taken the instrument yet to a new dimension. Equally brilliant in many genres from classical and jazz to world music, Maksin is using the cello as the common denominator and has created his own style by blending together there old elements in a new way.

Born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, Maksin began playing the cello at age six at the Special School for Gifted Children of the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory. At age seventeen he came to the United States to attend the Manhattan School of Music in New York City and later become the principal cellist of the New World Symphony, America's one-of-a-kind training orchestra under direction of maestro Michael Tilson Thomas. During that time he had an opportunity to receive personal mentorship from such artists us Lynn Harrell, Mstislav Rostropovich, Bernard Greenhouse, and many others.

In the recent years, Ian Maksin has become increasingly active as a soloist and composer ans has been touring regularly throughout the United States and Europe.His live performances have been frequently broadcast on National Public Radio and its affiliate stations throughout the USA, on NBC and PBS national television as well as in national television and radio in many European countries. Yelena Neva arrived to San Francisco from France in 2016. She was born and raised in Volga region of Russia. She graduated from musical school in Russia, where her specialty were classical piano and vocal.

After moving to Paris Yelena decided to continue her musical carrier in Le CIM école de Jazz et musiques actuelles Paris, Universal Music France, Warner Music France. She won the hearts of Paris audience with beautiful balance of Russian and French musical and cultural traditions.After realizing success of combining Russian and French traditions in Performing Arts, Yelena decided to try the same idea in her long lasting passion for design. She graduated from Moscow International Academy of Design, followed by receiving Designer & Stylist Diploma from "Atelier Chardon-Savard" school in Paris.All this hard work and perseverance resulted in world recognition and Yelena's performances in the best musical halls of the world, such as Olympia Hall of Paris, where famous artists including Edit Piaf performed.Yelena composes her own songs in both Russian and French languages, as well as performed them in the concerts with famous singers - Sporto Kantès, Davide Esposito.She also performed in the musical "La Legende de Broadway ", and created several Albums: "L'homme de mes rêves ", "Toute Nue" with her own songs.Her passion for Performing Arts also resulted in casting in the movie " Voici venir Orage" by French producer Nina Companeez.Please visit Yelena's website for more information: www.youtube.com/user/yelenaneva.
