Via live streaming video, the Houston Symphony will be a virtual participant in the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Annual Luncheon and Business Expo on Thursday, April 17. The orchestra, under the direction of incoming Music Director Andrés Orozco-Estrada, will pause during their morning rehearsal to perform The Star Spangled Banner for the crowd of more than 1,500. The musical salute will be the opening act of the annual event, the largest business luncheon and expo in Houston. Orozco-Estrada is the first Hispanic music director for the Houston Symphony and the 15th in its 100-year history. Luncheon attendees will watch and hear the performance on large screens at the Hilton Americas.
