Hip-Hop Violinist SVET Coming to State Theatre, 10/3

Bulgarian native SVET is an Eastman School of Music classically-trained violinist; but as soon as he discovered the fascinating world of hip hop, he began doing something extraordinary. Combining his finely tuned ear for classical music and his passion for Hip-Hop, SVET has introduced a new, captivating sound into the mainstream realm that fuses classical training with elements of Hip Hop, House and even Reggae. Performing with big name artists has put SVET at the top of the game; he is truly the new sound of the next generation.

In his show, where his virtuoso performance is backed by a high energy DJ, SVET takes the stage dramatically, immediately impressing the audience with his skills on the violin. Throughout the show, SVET performs a selection of top 40 classic covers as well as original numbers where this multi-talented artist sings, raps, beat boxes, and dances - all while continuously playing the violin.

Audience interaction is an important component to a SVET show. He invites the crowd to participate in the show - getting them to shout-out, get up from their seats and dance with him.
