Hershey Community Chorus to Hold Christmas Concerts

The Hershey Community Chorus will present its annual Christmas concert "Christmas Day, Christmas Night", on Friday, December 2, 2016, at 7:30 pm, in the Sanctuary of The First United Methodist Church located at 64 West Chocolate Avenue, Hershey. The concert will be performed again on Sunday, December 4, 2016, at 3:00 pm, in the Sanctuary of Grace United Methodist Church located at 433 East Main Street, Hummelstown. Violinists Caitlin Lynch and Gregory Glessner, both of Mechanicsburg, along with special guest organist Dan Umholtz, will be joining the Chorus' own accompanist Karen Kline on piano.

The Octet of the Lower Dauphin School District, under the direction of Liz Colpo, will join the Chorus, providing soli quartet, and solos in a few program selections, along with two selections from their repertoire.

The program will open with an organ prelude by Dan Umholtz, followed by sacred and secular selections including "Mass of the Nativity", "Catalonian Carol", "The Dream Isaiah Saw", "White Christmas", "Soft the Night Now is Sleeping" and many other pieces both accompanied and a capella.

Cost of admission is $18.00 for adults, $15.00 for seniors over 65, and $9.00 for students 6 to 11 years of age.
