Harrisburg Symphony to Premiere Jeremy Gill's New Work Based on Tolkien

Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra will continue its 88th season on January 6-7 with the World Premiere of Jeremy Gill's Ainulindalë (based on J.R.R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion).

The HSO will also present pianist Adam Golka performing one of the best of the Mozart piano concertos, Piano Concerto No. 25 in C.

They will round out the program with Dvorak's Symphony No. 7, which many feel is his finest symphony. Music director Stuart Malina will conduct.

The world premiere of Jeremy Gill's Ainulindalë was commissioned by The Lois Lehrman Grass Foundation. Additional funding is provided by the Cultural Enrichment Fund and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. Media support provided by WHTM abc27.
