Houston Symphony's Concert with Linda Eder Rescheduled for Tonight

Heavy snow and icy conditions along the U.S. East Coast previously prevented guest artist Linda Eder and her band from traveling to Houston for a Valentine's Day concert with the Houston Symphony. Administrators rescheduled the Friday, February 14 performance to tonight, May 29, when Linda Eder and her band are able to travel to Houston. All tickets for the original February 14 concert with Linda Eder will be honored tonight. Ticket holders don't need to take any action, although they may opt to exchange their tickets for another Symphony performance in the Classical or POPS line-up (certain exclusions apply).

In its place, the Houston Symphony, in partnership with Spec's Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods, will offer a free Valentine's Day performance of Vivaldi's most popular work, The Four Seasons, led by Houston Symphony Concertmaster Frank Huang. The concert at Jones Hall is a non-ticketed event, and seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. performance.

The Valentine's Day audience will experience the talented and powerful string players of the Houston Symphony led by Huang, who will act as both leader and soloist for the beloved work. Composed almost 300 years ago, The Four Seasons is one of the most recognizable works in classical music
