It has been announced that Daniel Kellogg will become the President of Young Concert Artists, effective July 1, 2019. This follows the incredible 58-year-tenure of Founder and current Director, Susan Wadsworth, who will continue as Creative Consultant through 2020-2021 helping to plan the 60th Anniversary of Young Concert Artists.

Daniel Kellogg was chosen as a Young Concert Artists Composer-in-Residence in 2002, and was on the YCA roster for ten formative years. His works have been premiered by the Philadelphia Orchestra, the National Symphony, the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, the Kansas City Symphony, at the Aspen Music Festival, by the Takacs Quartet and eighth blackbird.

Daniel Kellogg is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the Yale School of Music. He is the Christoffersen Composition Fellow and Professor of Composition at the University of Colorado.

Susan Wadsworth, who has led Young Concert Artists to international prominence having created the organization in 1961, has identified and mentored the early careers of some of today's greatest musicians. The list includes pianists Emanuel Ax, Richard Goode, Murray Perahia, Jeremy Denk and Anne-Marie McDermott, violinists Pinchas Zukerman, and Ani Kavafian, and composers Andrew Norman, Mason Bates, Kenji Bunch and Kevin Puts, among many others.

Susan Wadsworth: "I am beyond pleased that my successor is a former YCA artist, and therefore fully understands the role that YCA plays in young musicians' lives. Daniel Kellogg's enthusiasm and energy will enable the organization to continue to thrive and meet the challenges of the 21st Century, while maintaining the high musical standards for which the organization is known."

Daniel Kellogg: "I am excited to step in as the next President of Young Concert Artists. As a YCA Alumnus, I have deep gratitude for an organization that offered immense help and guidance during my formative years. Susan Wadsworth's work founding and leading Young Concert Artists for six decades is a spectacular legacy that must be celebrated and carried forward. It will be a joy to work with this outstanding organization to begin the next chapter."

Michael Ambler, Chairman of the YCA Board of Directors: "It is enormously exciting to have found a person like Daniel Kellogg to carry on the YCA tradition Susan has so brilliantly built. He possesses that rare combination of artistic acumen and proven managerial and fundraising skills so necessary in this position. Coupled with his history as a YCA alumnus we are confident we are in excellent hands going forward."
