DSO Raises $18.9 Million in Contributions Toward a Balanced Budget

According to reports, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra reached a 43% jump in fund-raising which led to a record $18.9 million in contributions to the annual fund in 2013.

The DSO is set to announce key fund-raising and ticket-sale metrics today for the fiscal year ending Aug. 31. The results include $6.3 million in ticket sales. Individual donors in 2013 also topped 10,000 for the first time in ten years.

Final audited figures won't be available until December.
