?Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY) ends its spring season on a high note with the ebullient sound of youthful voices and vibrant young musicians. Future Vibrations, on Sunday, June 14 at 2:00 pm at Carnegie Hall, features renowned conductor Francisco J. Núñez leading the Distinguished Concerts International New York, including members of his Young People's Chorus of New York City, in a program of music for treble voices. Opening the family-friendly afternoon program will be two superb youth orchestras hailing from the west coast: the Central Oregon Youth Orchestra and the Vancouver Pops Symphony.

For their program, Francisco Núñez and this young incarnation of the Distinguished Concerts International New York perform an arrangement of the delightful Papageno-Papagena Duet from Mozart's The Magic Flute, as well as folk song arrangements and music by Núñez himself, including his Misa Pequeña para Niños (A Children's Mass). Also performing are pianist Jon Holden and Steve Picataggio on drums.

One of the youngest youth orchestra programs in the country, offering exceptional ensemble training and performance opportunities, The Central Oregon Youth Orchestra performs such classic works as George Gershwin's An American in Paris, Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, and the New York premiere of "Iza Ngomso" from The Drop that Contained the Sea by Christopher Tin - the exciting, Grammy-winning young composer who has been championed by DCINY. Conducting duties are shared by Julia Bastuscheck and Eddy Robinson.

The Vancouver Pops Symphony, with director Tom Kuo, will delight the audience with arrangements from beloved Hollywood film scores such as How to Train Your Dragon, Disney's Aladdin, the Japanese film My Neighbor Totoro, as well as John Williams' classic score from the film Jurassic Park.

Francisco J. Núñez is a composer, conductor, visionary, leading figure in music education, and the artistic director/founder of the Young People's Chorus of New York City, founded in 1988, renowned worldwide for its diversity and artistic excellence.
