Cleveland, Ohio - July 20, 2015: The Cleveland POPS Orchestra announces its annual fundraiser. The event, titled Rhapsody in ZOO, will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 in the new and beautiful Stillwater Place at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. This year, the orchestra has chosen Thomas J. Scanlon, partner and a founding member of the law firm Collins & Scanlon L.L.P., as its honoree for the event. Mr. Scanlon, a member of the Cleveland POPS Orchestra's Board of Directors and former Board Chairman, is being honored by Cleveland POPS Orchestra for his many leadership roles in Cleveland's business, civic, and cultural arts organizations. Scanlon is known for his philanthropic activities and support throughout the community.
Cleveland POPS fundraisers are considered among the most elegant held in Cleveland, "Rhapsody in ZOO is the thirteenth such event for the orchestra, noteworthy for its distinctive silent auction, entertainment, and grand dance music provided by maestro Carl Topilow and the world-renowned Cleveland POPS.
All proceeds from the 2015 "Rhapsody in ZOO" will benefit the non-profit Cleveland POPS Orchestra.
