CLEVELAND - Individual tickets for The Cleveland Orchestra's 2015 Blossom Music Festival and for the Summers@Severance series of three concerts go on sale Tuesday, May 12, online atclevelandorchestra.com, by telephone (216-231-1111), and in person at the Severance Hall Ticket Office.
The Blossom Music Festival comprises 17 concerts, 15 of which are by The Cleveland Orchestra, including the Festival Opening Night concert on July 11 with Cleveland Orchestra Music Director Franz Welser-Möst conducting Beethoven's epic masterpiece, the Symphony No. 9, with the Blossom Festival Chorus and soloists; a "Broadway Divas" program (August 2); "Garrick Ohlsson Plays Beethoven's Emperor" (August 8); a concert by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis (August 29); and two concerts featuring the music of John Williams (September 5 and 6).A "Salute to America" concert by the Blossom Festival Band (July 4); and a program titled Michael Feinstein: A Big Band Tribute to Frank Sinatra (July 18) round out the season, which takes place at Blossom Music Center from Fourth of July weekend through Labor Day Weekend (July 2 - September 6, 2015).
The Summers@Severance series, now in its second year, is a three-concert series at Severance Hall on select Fridays with a concert start time of 7:00 p.m. The front terrace of Severance Hall is transformed into a pre-and post-concert party for these concerts. The concert series, sponsored by Thompson Hine LLP, begins on July 10 with Music Director Franz Welser-Möst conducting a program that includes Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 with soloist Igor Levit. On August 7, the concert features Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5, and on August 21 the program includes a suite from Handel's Water Music.

Also this summer at Severance Hall, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra will perform on Friday, August 28 at 7:30 pm.
