Cleveland Orchestra to Perform SIBELIUS'S SECOND for Opening Weekend

On September 29 and 30, 2016, The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-Möst will open the 2016-17 season at Severance Hall performing Ives's Symphony No. 3 ("The Camp Meeting"), Copland's Symphony for Organ and Orchestra featuring organist Paul Jacobs, and Sibelius's Symphony No. 2.

On October 1, 2016, The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-Möst celebrate the annual Gala concert with Emanuel Ax as soloist in Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2. The program also includes Harbison's Remembering Gatsby: Foxtrot for Orchestra and Copland's Suite from Billy the Kid. The Gala Evening is Chaired by NorMa Lerner, with Corporate Chair Beth Mooney and Co-Chair Nancy W. McCann.
