Chicago Sinfonietta to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Mariachi Monumental de Mexico, 5/2

The fourth concert in our Encuentros Music Series celebrates Cinco de Mayo, which commemorates the victory of the Mexican army over the French at the Battle of Puebla.

The Chicago Sinfonietta Wind Ensemble will be joined by Mariachi Monumental de México in this lively, family-friendly concert. Noted Latin American composers Elbio Barilari curates a program featuring Mexican classical composers, mariachi music, and his own Corrido de Abraham Lincoln.

The concert is set for Thursday, May 2 at 7pm at the Benito Juárez Community Academy Performing Arts Center, 1450 W. Cermak Road (east building). Tickets are just $10 for adults, $5 for childen & students, plus special familly packs for only $20. Buy them online or by calling 312.284.1554.
