Stage, film and television star Kristin Chenoweth joins the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for its annual Corporate Night celebration on Tuesday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m.  Led by conductor Andrew Lippa, Chenoweth will perform songs from some of Broadway's most celebrated musicals, including "Wicked," "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," and "The Music Man," alongside beloved standards and opera classics.  Now in its 19th year, Corporate Night offers a unique opportunity for area businesses to entertain clients, customers and employees during a special gala at Symphony Center, one of the city's most prestigious cultural settings.  Limited concert-only tickets are available to the public and can be purchased starting Saturday, April 19 by calling (312) 294-3000.   Kristin Chenoweth will be singing under the baton of the composer and conductor Andrew Lippa.

Each year, more than 100 companies and 1,500 senior-level executives attend Corporate Night, one of the largest fundraising events hosted by the CSO.  For members of the business community who have purchased gala packages, the evening begins at Symphony Center with cocktails at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. The concert, featuring Kristin Chenoweth and members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, begins at 7:30 p.m. Prices for gala packages start at $400; packages can be purchased by calling (312) 294-3175. Due to popular demand, the CSO has agreed to put a limited number of seats on sale to the public for this concert. Members of the public who wish to purchase concert-only tickets for this fundraising event should call the CSO's ticketing office at (312) 294-3000.  Corporate Night is chaired this year by Julia Goalby of The Women's Association of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and John M. Pratt, Managing Director of Merrill Lynch Investment Banking. All proceeds from Corporate Night will benefit the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.  Chenoweth has graciously agreed to replace previously announced Corporate Night vocalist Audra McDonald, who has cancelled due to scheduling conflicts.

Kristin Chenoweth transitions between stage, television and film with effortless grace. Her upcoming projects include the comedy "Four Christmases" starring alongside Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn, and the comedy-animated adventure "Space Chimps," co-starring Cheryl Hines and produced by Barry Sonnenfeld. Chenoweth can also be seen in the hit ABC series "Pushing Daisies."  Last year, Chenoweth starred in "Stairway to Paradise," an original Encores! Production celebrating the great Broadway revue.  Commemorating the centennial anniversary of the first "Ziegfeld Follies," she concluded New York City Center's 2007 season with beloved Broadway numbers from the early 20th century.  She starred in the critically successful and highly lauded limited-engagement of "The Apple Tree" at Roundabout Theatre Company's Studio 54 and had the honor of playing a sold out solo concert at the famed Metropolitan Opera House.

Many remember her show-stealing, Tony Award-winning performance in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" and her triumphant star turn when she originated the role of Glinda the Good Witch in "Wicked," which earned her a Tony Award nomination. Chenoweth also performed in the Broadway comedy "Epic Proportions" and in the Kander and Ebb musical "Steel Pier," for which she won a Theatre World Award.

Television fans will remember her as Annabeth Schott on "The West Wing"; the librarian, Marian Paroo, in ABC's movie version of Meredith Wilson's "The Music Man"; and Lily St. Regis in the television adaptation of "Annie." Moviegoers have seen her in "Deck the Halls" with Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick, "RV" with Robin Williams, "Bewitched" with Nicole Kidman, "Running with Scissors" with Annette Bening, and "The Pink Panther" with Steve Martin. Chenoweth is currently developing a feature film based on the life of Dusty Springfield and is schedule to make her Metropolitan Opera debut in March 2010 as Samira in John Corigliano's "The Ghost of Versailles."

A veteran of the concert scene, Kristin took the stage in a solo sold-out concert at Carnegie Hall in 2004 and continues to tour throughout the United States. She sang with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at the gala opening of Millennium Park in July 2004, and she has had numerous collaborations with various symphonies, including the New York Philharmonic, Boston Pops, National Symphony Orchestra and the San Francisco Symphony. Other performances include her sold-out Los Angeles solo debut at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, an evening at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and the Washington National Opera's 50th Anniversary Gala with Plácido Domingo.

Chenoweth is also an accomplished recording artist and has released the albums "Let Yourself Go" and "As I Am" on the Sony Classical label.
