A musical documentary theater adventure by grandchild and bandleader Eve Sicular. Isle of Klezbos and their show, J. Edgar Klezmer: Songs From My Grandmother's FBI Files comes to Centenary Stage Company as part of the Kutz Theatre Series this weekend, February 12th - 15th in the Edith Kutz Theater located in the David a Carol Lackland Center.
From klezmer to Kodaly, from jazz to baroque, from boogie - woogie to gospel, from Hazel Scott's cancelled TV show to derelict theories of homosexuality, this exploration of FBI surveillance files leads in even more directions than the Department of Justice could have foreseen. The New York City based Isle of Klezbos approaches tradition with irreverence and respect. This soulful, fun - loving powerhouse all-women's klezmer sextet has toured from Vienna to Vancouver. Their concert footage has been broadcast internationally on CBS Sunday Morning, CNN World- Beat, and PBS In The Life, and the band's live and studio recordings have also been heard on The L Word (Showtime), WFMU, Northeast Public Radio (Live at the Linda), and film soundtracks.
Isle of Klezbos; J. Edgar Klezmer: Songs from My Grandmother's FBI Files tickets are 27.50 for adults with discounts for students, seniors and children under 12 on Saturday. Tickets for Friday and matinee performances are $25.00 with discounts for seniors, students and children under 12. Thursday evening's performance is our "Family Night" tickets are $25.00 for all seats with a special 2 for 1 special rush discount when purchased at the door 2 hours prior to performance.

The box office is open Monday through Friday from 1 - 5pm and 2 hours prior to performance time. CSC also has a Box Office open during the main season at 217 Main Street in Hackettstown open Monday through Friday from 3 - 6 p.m.
