The Centaur Theatre Company is set to run their third season of Urban Tales, the English version of Théâtre Urbi et Orbi's "Contes Urbaines" which has been presented every season since 1991. This season Urban Tales brings together four renowned Montreal artists to tell eight stories, all written by poet, playwright, producer, translator, publisher Yvan Bienvenue, with the theme of "a day in the life of the city."
Harry Standjofski will read "Dawn of the Dead" and "In the end is my beginning," Marcel Jeannin will read "Head-splitting Recess" and "Booger Nights," Joanne Sarazen will read "Fat thigh noon" and "Closing time," and Tristan D. Lalla will read "That God it's Good Friday" and "One just before midnight."
Artistic direction, tales and graphic design by Yvan Bienvenue, with direction, translation, live music and storytelling by Harry Standjofski.
Urban Tales runs from December 16 through December 19. All performances are at 8pm, with an additional matinee performance on Saturday, December 19, at 2pm before the final 8pm showing.
