C4 to Perform '1 ON 1' in Manhattan & Brooklyn in November

C4: The Choral Composer/Conductor Collective Presents 1 on 1: Music for Solo Instruments and Choir - First Concerts of 2014-15 Season on November 13 in Brooklyn and November 15 in Manhattan
Submitted by Jeffrey James Arts Consulting jamesarts@att.net C4: The Choral Composer/Conductor Collective will present 1 on 1: Music for Solo Instruments and Choir, the first concerts of its By the Numbers 2014-15 New York season on Thursday, November 13 at Galapagos Art Space, 16 Main Street in Brooklyn and Saturday, November 15 at Church of St. Luke in the Fields, 487 Hudson Street in Manhattan.

1 on 1: Music for Solo Instruments and Choir will feature performances of Lisa Bielawa's Lamentations for a City, selections from Christopher Marshall's Tihei, Mauri Ora!, Bettina Sheppard's The Day the Saucers Came (on text of Neil Gaiman), Andrea Clearfield's Shar Ki Ri from Tse Go La Cantata, and World Premieres by C4 composers: Timothy Brown's Take Me Bach, Bill Heigen's Bubbles and Lisa Whitson Burns' Spectrum.

Guest instrumentalists will be Nicholas Gallas, clarinet, Karen Birch Blundell, English Horn and Jonathan Singer, vibraphone.

Tickets for the November 13 and 15 concerts are $20 in advance, $25 day of performance, with 10 $4 "Rush" admissions 30 minutes advance at the door.
