Tonight, Feb. 14, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra is planning an evening of romance surrounding the return of Buffalo favorite Steve Lippia. Beginning at 8 PM, Lippia performs all of Frank Sinatra's greatest hits with your BPO. After the concert, the audience is invited to enjoy the BPO's annual Sweetheart Dance in the Mary Seaton Room, with music by the Katy Miner Quartet. The dance is sponsored by The Reid Group. Great seats for the concert are still available and start at $29.

The BPO's "Festa Italiana" Pops Party kicks off at 5 PM, with drinks, hors d'ouevres, and entertainment. Dinner and dessert catered by Oliver's takes place at 6 PM. During intermission, partygoers can enjoy more drinks and dessert in a cordoned-off area in the hall's Mary Seaton Room. Tickets for the Pops Party are $150 per person and include premium seating for the concert. The party can also be added on for $100. All proceeds support the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Make your reservation no later than Monday, Feb. 9 by contacting BPO Special Events Coordinator Jim Cichocki at (716) 242-7825 or jcichocki@bpo.org.

As Buffalo's cultural ambassador, the Grammy Award-winning Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra under the leadership of music director JoAnn Falletta presents more than 100 concerts each year. Since 1940, the orchestra's home has been Kleinhans Music Hall, a National Historic Landmark with a reputation as one of the finest concert halls in the United States. During the tenure of JoAnn Falletta, the BPO has rekindled its history of radio broadcasts and recordings, including the release of 32 new recordings on the Naxos and Beau Fleuve labels.
