Live @ Benaroya Hall has added a FREE Star Spangled Spectacular concert to their summer roster. Happy Birthday America! The Seattle Wind Symphony and Live @ Benaroya Hall join together for a musical celebration of our national heritage --just prior to Independence Day tonight, July 3, 2013 at 7:30 pm. Young and old can enjoy favorite patriotic tunes, rousing sing-a-longs and outstanding soloists. Hear Leonard Bernstein'sOverture to Candide, Carmen Dragon's America, The Beautiful, Frank Ticheli'sAmazing Grace, Peter Tchaikovsky's Overture 1812, and Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever. Larry Gookin, artistic director of the Seattle Wind Symphony, conducts.
Tickets are required for this free event, and may be picked up in advance at the Benaroya Hall Ticket Office, located on the corner of 3rd Avenue and Union Street; or requested via mail by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Benaroya Hall Ticket Office, P.O. Box 2108, Seattle, WA 98111. The Benaroya Hall Ticket Office is on the corner of Third Avenue and Union Street. Ticket Office hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Saturday, 1 p.m.-6 p.m. Individuals may request a maximum of four tickets per order. Seating is guaranteed to all ticket holders until 10 minutes prior to the start of the concert, at which time the doors will open to the general public. This event is presented by Live@Benaroya Hall and Seattle Wind Symphony thanks to the generous sponsorship of Kennelly Keys and MusicWorks Northwest. Donations are gratefully accepted.

Seattle Wind Symphony includes 60 of the Puget Sound's finest woodwind, brass, and percussion instrumentalists. They are dedicated to presenting excellent symphonic wind music to the general public, educators, and students.
