The Academy of Music Summer Festival

The 16th Annual Summer Music Festival

Grace Church, Nyack, New York

June 7 ~ June 21, 2015

The residents of Nyack have long been aware of the marvelous musical gem they possess. Its called: The Academy of Music Summer Festival. Every summer for the last 16 years Hudson Valley audiences have been treated to some of the finest chamber music concerts available anywhere in the world. This year will be no exception as the Academy presents an extraordinary program of audience favorites, rarely heard masterpieces and some wonderfuly exotic gems.

The roster includes world-renowned artists and rising stars in solo and chamber performances. Amongst them, violinist Mikhail Kopelman of the Kopelman Quartet; Orpheus cellist Julia Lichten; founding cellist of the American String Quartet, David Geber; pianist Christopher Oldfather; soprano Korliss Uecker; violinist Nicholas Mann; violinist/violist Anat Malkin Almani; violinist Bracha Malkin as well as many other guest artists.

Festival artists delight in performances of Mozart's exquisite Piano Quartet No. 1 and the very passionate Piano Quintet in E-flat Major by Schumann. In addition, Korliss Uecker, Christopher Oldfather and Anat Malkin Almani perform Brahms' Songs for soprano, viola and piano.
