The Baltimore Symphony Associates (BSA) will host its 39th annual Decorators' Show House fundraiser at Oak Acre in Guilford, located at 4309 North Charles Street in Baltimore City from Sunday, April 26 through Sunday, May 17. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the three-story stately home and view 22 elegant spaces designed by Maryland's leading interior designers. The Decorators' Show House is an annual fundraiser produced by the Baltimore Symphony Associates, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's (BSO) volunteer organization.

Oak Acre was built in 1928 by Clarence Harlan Hurlock, Sr. who meticulously orchestrated every detail of the home's architectural layout, design and landscaping, and the home remained in his family for more than 90 years. Eighteen Maryland interior designers, who bid on rooms to decorate and were chosen by the BSA selection committee, will redesign 22 spaces in the home, including the foyer, library, bedrooms, living room, kitchen and billiard room. Returning show designers include: Victor Liberatore and Gail Lieberman, Liz Dickson, Carol Grillo, Missy Connolly, Paula Henry and Regina Bello. New designers this year include: students from the Community College of Baltimore County with their sponsor, Laura Kimball, Lisa Brown Malveaux, Dawn Blount Walker, Lauri FitzGerald and Kirk Maggio.

Guests can visit the Show House to gain inspiration from new trends in fabric and design. Many of the accessories and furnishings used in the designed spaces are available for purchase during open hours and can be picked up after the show. Guests may also purchase specialty goods and crafts at the on-site boutique, and enjoy refreshment at the on-site café.

The Show House opens on Sunday, April 26 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Following the opening, operating hours will be: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a shuttle bus to the house that can be accessed at the parking lot of the Church of the Redeemer at 5603 North Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21210 with a $2.00 donation. Show House tickets are $25 in advance and are available through the BSO Ticket Office at 410.783.8000 or BSOmusic.org and at Graul's Markets, Budeke Paint Stores and Watson's Garden Center. Tickets are $30 at the door. Student tickets are available at the door for $15 with ID. Proceeds benefit the BSO's growing education and community engagement initiatives, including the award-winning OrchKids program, student Side-by-Side concerts and the Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestras.
