The Amarillo Symphony announces record single ticket sales and attendance for the recently completed 2015-2016 concert season.
The Symphony is pleased to report a 44% increase in tickets sold and a 74% increase in single ticket revenue. This also represents a new record in single ticket sales since the Symphony's moved into to current home, The Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts, in the 2006-2007 season.
"I'm very pleased our orchestra is being heard by more and more people. It is real evidence to the value our wonderful musicians, staff, and volunteers bring to the community. This growth would not be possible without the support of the entire Texas Panhandle," said Corey Cowart, Amarillo Symphony Executive Director. "Our combined efforts this past season are creating a strong foundation for even greater success next year."
The Amarillo Symphony is seeing the positive momentum continue as the 2016-17 subscription campaign is 40% ahead of last year's campaign at the same time. There is significant growth in new orders, and the Symphony anticipates selling more subscriptions in 2016-17 than it did the 2015-16 season.
The Amarillo Symphony's 2016-17 season begins with Opera Highlights featuring Mary Jane Johnson on September 16-17. For a full listing please visit www.amarillosymphony.org/events-and-tickets/2016-2017-season/
