Actor Dermot Mulroney Plays Cello on ROGUE ONE Soundtrack

Actor Dermot Mulroney is not only acting in ROGUE ONE, but he's also playing the cello on the soundtrack.

LA Times shares that when Mulroney met composer Michael Giacchino in 2005, he challenged him to hire him for a movie scoring session.

According to the article, Giacchino said, "I was like, 'Can you really read music? Because there's no rehearsals. You just have to play it. He goes, 'No, I can do that, I can do that!' I was like, 'Alright, well then why don't you sit in with our cello section on 'Mission Impossible'?"

Since then, Mulroney has played on just about every Giacchino film score, including "Star Trek" and "Jurassic World."
