The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO), in partnership with Georgia Public Broadcasting and the producers of the documentary film, Robert Shaw: Man of Many Voices, will host "Stars Shine on Shaw" - a musical tribute celebrating the life and legacy of former ASO Music Director Robert Shaw - on Sunday, November 10, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.

Martin Goldsmith will emcee the recital, which will include special appearances by ASO Music Director Robert Spano on piano, cellist Lynn Harrell, sopranos Christine Brewer and Sylvia McNair, and mezzo-soprano Marietta Simpson.

Philanthropist Lessie Smithgall will serve as the Gala's Honorary Chair and author Keith Burris will sign copies of his new Robert Shaw biography, Deep River, in the lobby during intermission and following the concert.

Proceeds will benefit the making of Robert Shaw - Man of Many Voices, co-produced by Georgia Public Broadcasting in partnership with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and in association with American Choral Directors Association, Atlanta History Center, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Players' Association, Gilmore Music Library of Yale University, and Public Broadcasting Atlanta.
