Pianist Konstantin Shamray has offered to present a recital on at 7.30pm Monday 16 April, in Elder Hall, University of Adelaide, to support 5mbs 99.9fm, a community radio station dedicated to broadcasting fine music 24/7, Classical and Jazz.
Konstantin is from Russia but he chose to make his home in Adelaide because he really loves the city and the way of life here. When he is not touring overseas, which is at least half the year, he is completing a PhD at Elder Conservatorium, being a soloist with Symphony Orchestras, or combining with ensembles such as the Australian String Quartet and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
He is generous with his time and talent, sharing his immense love and knowledge of music by presenting programs on 5mbs whenever he has the time. He has even been known to come into the 5mbs studio very late at night and play his favourite music until the early morning. When he does other insomniacs are happy to ring him.
We can guarantee a wonderful concert, with music by composers such Debussy, Liszt, Ravel and perhaps a Russian composer or two thrown into the mix.
Tickets are $25 and can be booked by ringing 5mbs 83462324 during office hours, or through
