2009 WorldStage Concert Series Runs Monday Nights This Summer, 7/6-8/10

2009 WorldStage! concert series - an outdoor musical & cultural experience for the whole family, all summer long.

Monday nights, July 6 through August 10, 2009. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with performances starting at 8:00 p.m. A special concert by the Utah Symphony will be held on Tuesday, June 30 marking the end of WestFest and the beginning of the WorldStage! concert series.

Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 West 3100 South, EVERYONE is invited to this FREE concert series. This year's WorldStage! Concert Series presents a vibrant and exciting cross section of entertainment deeply rooted in Utah's cultural communities, with performances by:

June 30 The Utah Symphony - Utah's premiere symphonic orchestra

July 6 Jazz on the Jordan - an aural history of jazz

July 13 Zion Tribe - rockin' Afro-Caribbean grooves & other funky stuff

July 20 Red Rock Rondo - a well crafted synergy of folk & classical styles

July 27 Smiling Souls - roots, rock & reggae

Aug 3 Jason Hewlett - music, comedy, dancing and singing impressions

Aug 10 World Travelers - international music and dance from around the world
