The Michael O'Neal Summer Singers is a non-auditioned summer chorus open to all interested singers. No audition is required, but previous choral experience is strongly recommended. Participation requirements include rehearsal attendance for at least five of the six scheduled rehearsals, as well as the dress rehearsal and performance; and a participation fee of $60 per singer which will include scores and audio rehearsal material.
REPERTOIRE
Requiem by John Rutter, with chamber orchestra and Sherri Seiden, Soprano. As one of the most prolific composers of the last 35 years, John Rutter has established himself in the forefront of choral composers both in the U.S.A and in his native England. Requiem was Rutter's first composition written without being commissioned, and has wide appeal to both singers and audiences while preserving a affirming spiritual context centered around themes of light and consolation.
