Young Author Publishes Historical-Fiction Novel at Age Fourteen Image Immerse yourself in a story of adventure, survival, hope, and faith in a mysterious land in “Under A Bright Yellow Sun: The Bronze Sword.” Follow Peter Washingsworth, his family, and their fellow Puritan settlers as they lay down roots in Orenea in the 1600s. They encounter native tribes, both helpful and hostile, new illness, and a myriad of challenges as they learn to survive in unchartered territory.

S. G. Muscarello began writing short stories at the age of eight. At age ten, she decided to try her hand at writing a full-length novel, gaining inspiration from her bright imagination, memories on her backyard porch swing, and childhood friends.

“I had a story that captured my imagination and began brewing in my mind,” Muscarello said. “The journey in my imagination became a written reality.”

With storylines for the Puritans who arrive in Orenea, the native Oreneans, and their hostile enemy the Tumitatakens, “Under a Bright Yellow Sun” portrays the trials and triumphs of great change and will capture the hearts of readers of all ages.
