"A man's enemies are those of his own household."
This is the principle upon which author Nick Ochere's new book, Your Own People, is based. Centered on a couple's struggle with infertility, the book touches on an important and prevalent topic not often portrayed in novels.
"Conflict within a marriage or familial relationship is natural," Ochere said. "I hope my book inspires readers to work through and resolve these conflicts within their own families."
Ochere, a native of Begoro, Ghana, is the first from his hometown to have written and published a book. "I feel very blessed, despite not having a secondary education, to be able to share a story that is both entertaining and thought-provoking," Ochere said.
Your Own People, Part 1 is the first book of Ochere's three-part series.
